- in cooking
- skin care
- hair care
- massage oil
While most vegetable oils are pressed from the seeds of the fruit, avocado oil is obtained by pressing the pulp of the fruit. Avocado oil is a rich nourishment for dry, ageing and undernourished skin, as well as for lifeless hair. Avocado oil is one of the healthiest oils in the world.
Avocado oil is rich in lecithin, plant sterols, primary fatty acids and highly soluble vitamins (A, D, E). Avocados are particularly high in potassium and very low in sodium.
Vitamins A, D and E act as powerful antioxidants – they reduce the damaging effects of free radicals. These vitamins stimulate the natural production of collagen in the skin, helping to improve skin texture, elasticity, softness and firmness. Avocado oil relieves dry and itchy skin in psoriasis and eczema. Avocado oil also helps to heal skin damaged by the elements. Avocado oil is added to soaps and lotions.
