Description
Figs are packed with vitamins. It is particularly rich in vitamin A. Figs are good for digestion, the blood, potassium, calcium, iron, magnesium and antioxidants. Figs are very easy for the body to digest.
Because of the fragility of its skin, it is practically impossible to transport the newly ripened fig, which is why it is only exported to northern countries in dried form. Fresh figs have a sweet-sour taste, while dried figs are much sweeter. Fresh figs contain 1 gram of fibre, while dried figs contain twice as much.
