The piperine in black pepper increases the effect of the curcumin in turmeric by up to 2000%.
Daily consumption of turmeric is the easiest way to cleanse and detoxify the body. It can be added to almost all casseroles and sauces, pasta dishes and meat. As it is a fat-soluble substance, the therapeutic properties of turmeric are increased when it is slightly heated and combined with fat. Turmeric tea is also excellent and healing.

Turmeric is a relative of ginger (also called yellow ginger) from South Asia, which is also a constituent of oriental curry. The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, a substance with powerful therapeutic properties that is a liver tonic. It inhibits the formation and growth of tumours.
Use turmeric with black pepper, cayenne pepper or chilli pepper. The piperine in black pepper has health-promoting properties. It is a bioactive alkaloid also found in chilli and cayenne pepper, for example. Piperine helps to relieve headaches, nausea, joint pain and digestive problems and also has anti-inflammatory properties.
A number of studies show that this anti-inflammatory has far fewer side effects than common non-natural antibiotics.
The piperine in black pepper increases the effect of the curcumin in turmeric by up to 2000%.
In addition, piperine helps the body to better absorb curcumin. You don’t need to add a lot of black pepper – the same way you would normally add black pepper to a meal, you add black pepper to turmeric in the same proportions.
The recommended daily allowance and the maximum allowable intake depend on a person’s body weight and eating habits. Generally, a teaspoonful of turmeric-pepper mixture, which you can mix with honey or warm water, is enough to have an effect. If the taste is unusual, add ginger powder or cinnamon. You could also try mixing them with coconut oil.
As always – start with smaller doses.
In the case of a turmeric overdose, you may experience mild nausea, headache or flushed skin.

Uses. As it is a fat-soluble substance, the therapeutic properties of turmeric are increased if it is slightly heated and combined with fat. However, turmeric tea is also excellent and healing.
A simple recipe for turmeric tea:
3 heaped teaspoons of turmeric.
1 heaped teaspoon of ground cloves
2 heaped teaspoons of ground cardamom pods
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons ground ginger (fresh ginger root is also suitable) approx. 1.5 litres water
Add the water to the spices and bring to the boil. Simmer over a low heat for 10 minutes to infuse the tea with the rich flavour and health benefits of the spices. Allow the turmeric tea to cool to a suitable temperature and add honey to taste. Avoid adding honey to tea that is too hot, as this will destroy the activity of the enzymes inside the honey. You can also add almond or nut milk to the tea if you wish. Enjoy to your health!
