Bananas contain three types of natural sugars – sucrose, fructose and glucose combined with fibre. Thanks to this, they provide an immediate energy boost after eating. Just two bananas give you enough energy for a 90-minute workout. But as well as energy, bananas benefit us in many other ways. One banana is estimated to provide 21.5% of your daily vitamin B6 needs and 17% of your vitamin C needs. In addition, it contains significant amounts of manganese, fibre and potassium.
