Description

Hazelnuts or hazelnuts are like a little energy bomb for your body, 100 g of cleaned nuts provide 600-660 kcal. They provide both water-soluble, or various B vitamins, and fat-soluble, or E vitamins. In terms of trace elements, nuts provide potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron and copper.

Hazelnuts: one of the most useful vitamins in hazelnuts is vitamin E, which is essential for hair and skin, and for strengthening the heart. Vitamin E also protects the body against anaemia (anaemia) and cancer. Hazelnuts are rich in folic acid, which is beneficial for growing babies and adults. It plays an important role in the production of red blood cells, which are needed to supply the body with oxygen. Nuts also contain B-group vitamins. Of the B group vitamins, hazelnuts contain thiamine (B1). Thiamine is known as the vitamin of optimism. Deficiencies of this vitamin lead to fatigue, lack of appetite and the resulting diseases. The daily requirement of thiamine is 0.5 mg per 1000 calories consumed. So women need 1-1.1 mg of thiamine per day, 1.5 mg during pregnancy and 1.6 mg during breastfeeding. Men need between 1.2 and 1.5 mg, depending on energy intake.

Hazelnuts also contain choline (B4). The daily choline requirement is 3-4 g. Persons under constant stress should double this intake to ensure brain and nervous system performance. Choline activates brain function. Choline is needed for the absorption of fats, normal functioning of the liver and gall bladder, lowering blood cholesterol levels, improving concentration, stimulating heart function, stabilising the nervous system and slowing down ageing. These nuts also contain several minerals. Contains relatively more iron, magnesium and copper.

Theprotein content is also high, ranging from 15 to 18% of the kernel weight, and the amino acid composition makes nut proteins valuable for humans. They are particularly important for vegetarians. The nut does not seem sweet to the eater, but nevertheless nuts contain up to 10% carbohydrates. On the other hand, nuts are low in water.

All this adds up to hazelnuts being little ‘energy bombs’. 100 g of cleaned nuts provide 600-660 kcal.

Hazelnuts are valuable because of their high fat content. Fats account for 55-62% of the total weight of the fruit. Due to the richness in lipids and the specificity of their composition, nuts can be used to extract valuable oils.

If you like hazelnuts and want more, we also have larger packs.
