Rice syrup is produced by the hydrolysis of cooked brown rice with enzymes, which breaks down the starch mainly into maltotriose and maltose. Depending on its composition, rice syrup can be up to 2 times less sweet than sugar.
Soft, sweet and light, organic rice syrup is an excellent substitute for regular sugar or artificial sweeteners. Flavour drinks, muesli, yoghurt, desserts or cakes with sweet rice syrup. A great alternative for those who want to control their sugar intake.
