Amaranth seeds are valued for their delicate nut taste and high nutritional value.Amaranth is rich in proteins, including the essential amino acid lysine, which provides energy, body stamina and slows ageing, as well as methionine, magnesium, iron and fibre, B-group vitamins (B2, B3, B5, B6, B9) and vitamin C, calcium, niacin, phosphorus. Amaranth flour is gluten-free.
The calcium and phosphorus in amaranth are in an almost ideal ratio.
Amaranth seeds contain twice as much calcium as cow’s milk.
